Directions and Map

Huntsman Cancer Institute is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is on the University of Utah campus, just east of the University Hospital and Clinics. You may access the Institute from both the north and south entrance - there are designated drop-off areas at each entrance.

Driving Directions

From the Salt Lake International Airport: Take I-80 east for about one and a half miles to the North Temple exit. Follow North Temple approximately two miles to State Street (one block beyond the Mormon Temple). Turn right, and go two blocks to 100 South. Turn left and proceed east on 100 South for one mile. When you reach the University of Utah campus, 100 South changes to North Campus Drive. Approach the University of Utah Hospital - heading east on North Campus Drive. Continue on North Campus Drive for approximately one mile. Follow signs for Huntsman Cancer Institute. Just past the Moran Eye Center, North Campus Drive will turn into Circle of Hope. The road ends at the Huntsman Cancer Institute parking terrace.  

From I-15 northbound: Take the 600 South exit and go east. At State Street, turn left and drive for five blocks until you reach 100 South. Turn right onto 100 South and follow the directions as listed above.  

From I-15 southbound: Take the 600 North exit. At 300 West, turn right and go four blocks to 100 South. Turn left and follow the directions as provided above.

Arriving by Bus

Salt Lake City buses

From the airport, take bus route 50 downtown to Abravanel Hall at 100 West and South Temple. From there, transfer to route 19 or 20, which will turn into route 1 or 2 and take you to the University Hospital. From downtown, you can take either route 1 or 2 from 55 South State Street. From the University of Utah campus, take the campus shuttle (see information on University of Utah Campus Shuttles, below).

Buses from all areas of the Salt Lake Valley, Ogden and Provo provide service to the University of Utah. For up- to- date route and fare information for UTA buses, you can call (801) BUS-INFO. Campus shuttle bus information can be obtained by calling (801) 581-4189.  

University of Utah Campus Shuttle

Campus shuttles are in service from 6:00 am through 6:00 pm. Red, blue, purple, and yellow campus shuttle routes all stop at the main entrance to the University Hospital. Walking directions from the hospital to Huntsman Cancer Institute are available at the information desk in the hospital lobby. There is no campus shuttle service on weekends or University holidays.
