Howard Mann, MD

Associate Professor, Department of Radiology
Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine

Howard Mann, MBBCh, is an associate professor in the Department of Radiology and adjunct associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is also an investigator and board member of the Thoracic Cancer Program at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Over the years, Mann has developed an interest in clinical research ethics. He is a program associate in the Division of Medical Ethics at the University of Utah, where he conducts an annual course in clinical research ethics for young investigators starting an academic medical career. He also pursues scholarly work on ethical issues in clinical trials and is a member of the University's Institutional Review Board, which evaluates proposals for research with human participants.

Mann received his advanced degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. After completing his residency in diagnostic radiology at Wilmington Medical Center in Delaware and Yale-New Haven Medical Center in Connecticut, Mann completed a fellowship in chest radiology at Yale.
