Steve Prescott received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in 1973, and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah, he was a research fellow in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at Washington University.
