A two-step process is necessary to gain access to the data contained within the Utah Population Database (UPDB).

1. The Utah Resource for Genetic and Epidemiologic Research (RGE) administers access to the specific sets of records through a review process of the project proposal. All research projects require Internal Review Board (IRB) and Resource for Genetic and Epidemilogic Research (RGE) approval.

2. Access to the database is administered by Pedigree and Population Resource (PPR) for those individuals listed on a project who need direct access.
