Sarcoma Services Program

SARCOMA ARRAY RESEARCH CONSORTIUM (SARC™) LAB

Huntsman Cancer Institute’s Sarcoma Array Research Consortium (SARC™), a division of Sarcoma Service, is a basic science research laboratory specializing in the molecular genetics of sarcoma. Researchers in this lab study which genes are involved and how these genes function incorrectly when sarcomas occur. The goal of these studies is to classify the different types of sarcomas and understand how they progress and to use this information to develop new and better treatments for this group of cancers.
