There are many exciting projects in the lab that could be pursued by incoming
post-docs, and this is an excellent environment for post-doctoral training.
The setting is very collaborative, both within our lab and between labs
at the University. Our lab space is part of an open lab, with additional
specialty rooms for biochemistry, microscopy, tissue culture, and computer
work. Our lab is adjoining those of Don Ayer, Brad Cairns, and Susan Mango.
During the academic year we have a Transcription Journal Club that these
labs, and others within the Institute, participate in. The Department
of Oncological Sciences has around 30 post-docs and several forums for
interaction amongst Institute members. For example, the weekly internal
seminar series is a great way to keep up with what is going on as well
as to present your work and receive feedback.
We have funding available for starting post-docs, although in most cases
post-docs are expected to apply for independent funding and this is something
we would work together on. If you are interested in applying for a postdoctoral
position in the Graves Lab, please contact us (it would be helpful to
have your CV and a description of your scientific interests):
