Projects:

I am interested in understanding how epigenetic modifications control the development of the zebrafish oocyte and how that information translates to protein expression. Ultimately we would like to understand the contributions of both egg and sperm to the developing embryo.

I am also interested in exploring new techniques to efficiently isolate tissue specific DNA or RNA in zebrafish. Our initial focus will be in understanding how epigenetic changes control the differentiation of the three germ layers; endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm.
