Centralized Zebrafish Animal Resource

The CZAR Facility provides state-of-the-art systems for housing and breeding zebrafish. It comprises 6,000 fish tanks and redundant circulating water systems, and houses a large number of wild-type and mutant fish strains. It allows large genetic screens carried out as collaborations between multiple laboratories, and can provide both animals and training for laboratories wishing to try pilot zebrafish experiments at the University. Dr. Gretchen King directs the CZAR facility.
