Genomics Resource Core Facility

This core provides investigators with accurate, cost-effective, reliable genotyping for human DNA samples, and was established because of the faculty’s broad interest in genetic studies. Genotypes are generated automatically, using ABI fluorescence technology. Services include genotyping of pedigrees with radiolabeled primers, genotyping with fluorescent primers, loss of heterozygosity scored with fluorescent primers, detection of microsatellite instability with fluorescent primers, and mutation detection by single-strand conformational polymorphisms (SSCP). The core director is Dr. Linda Ballard.
