Cell Shape, Migration and Morphogenesis
The ability of cells to migrate, adhere or change shape is critical to establish the appropriate architecture of tissues and organs. At Utah, investigators examine how cells are guided by interactions with one another or with their environment. These studies are grounded by fundamental cell biological studies, such as the movement and assembly of intracellular organelles, the establishment and modulation of neuronal synapses, and the induction of cellular polarity to generate distinct subcellular domains.
