The DNA Sequencing
Core Facility uses state-of-the-art fluorescent DNA sequencing methods
to produce high quality DNA sequencing at low cost to the University community.
The volume of sequences performed at the facility has continued to increase
(70,000 sequences were done in fiscal year 1999). The facility performs
sequencing chemistry using fluorescently-labeled dye terminators, analyzes
and distributes data, undertakes primer walking projects by arrangement,
and offers consultation and troubleshooting. Turnaround time is currently
two to three working days, and the acting core director is Dr. Linda Ballard. |
