Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. However, colon cancer detected in early stages has a 90% five-year survival rate.
If you are a resident of Utah, you can request a free stool blood test by visiting the Utah Cancer Action Network. You may also call the Huntsman Cancer Learning Center at 888-424-2100 toll-free to learn more about colorectal cancer screenings resources throughout Utah. Also, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention operates a program that offers free and low-cost colorectal screenings in various locations throughout the country.
